After your first training session, Open Road creates a folder (named ‘Open Road’) in the ‘Documents’ folder on your local hard drive. In this folder, ‘Open Road’ stores all activities as FIT files. The FIT file can be uploaded to Strava, Training Peaks, Garmin Connect, and any other fitness services. When you upload manually, please make sure you tag the activity as a virtual ride. This prevents that your ride ends up on non-virtual leaderboards.
If you do not want Open Road to auto-generate the FIT file after each ride, it can be turned off in ‘General settings’.
As a second option, you can generate the FIT file manually. This is done after the training session by pressing the ‘Create FIT file’ button:
