‘Fetching ride… please wait…’ does not go away.

If you start a ride and the ‘Fetching ride’ message does not go away, it could be an issue between your computer and your external hard drive. It could also be related to the video filters used (the LAV filters).

If you suspect the problem is caused by your external drive, please do the following to fix the issue:

  1. Shut down your PC.
  2. Ensure your external drive is connected.
  3. Turn on your PC.
  4. Start Open Road.
  5. Go to ‘My rides’ and select the ride you want to do.
    • If the ride does not show up, go to General Settings:
      • Point the external drive to the location of the Open Road files.
      • Save the location and ensure that using the external folder is enabled.
      • Save your changes and return to step 5.

If you are not using an external drive, the problem could be the LAV Filters. To solve the issue, please go to the ‘Control Panel’ and uninstall the LAV Filters. The next time you start Open Road, it will be automatically reinstalled.
